| With the generous financial support of the
Long Beach City College Foundation, the Office
of Grants was able to purchase a web-based subscription package
to help faculty and staff locate potential funders for projects
that require external funding.
The database of funding opportunities, called SPIN, is available
at the InfoEd web page at http://www.infoed.org.
1.) The user name and password are the same: lbcity.
2.) Click on "Access Info Office" in upper
right-hand corner of screen.
3.) Click on "SPIN" icon.
In addition, you can create a GENIUS profile that allows SPIN
to automatically match the needs identified in your profile
with grant announcements in the SPIN database. SPIN then sends
you an e-mail message alerting you of the grant opportunity.
The Office of Grants staff occassionally schedule SPIN training
during faculty FLEX day training and will also do one-on-one
training. If you are interested in individual training, please
contact Jacquie Wilvers at (562) 938-4756 or jwilvers@lbcc.edu.
