| Completing all required tasks is the responsibility
of the grant project director. The Office of Grants and Resource
Development can assist project directors, but completion of all
grant activities and reporting requirements is ultimately the
reponsibility of the project director. Each funding agency publishes
a calendar of events for the grant period and regulations governing
the grant. The project director should become familar with all
deadlines associated with his/her grant and regulations which
affect the project. A copy of the Final Report shall be submitted to the Office of Grants and Resource Development.
Document Archiving and File Destruction
In order to comply with state and federal grant management regulations, all files related to a grant-funded
project
must be retained for the following period of time:
No files shall be discarded for three years following the filing date of the Final Report to the funding agency. If the funding agency is conducting a project audit or the project is in ligitation, then the files must be retained until those activities are completed by the funding agency.
If you do not wish to maintain the files in your office, please contact the Office of Grants and Resource Development staff to arrange transfer the documentation.
